Accounting Clerk

Triad Engineering, Inc. is seeking a full-time Accounting Clerk for our Morgantown, West Virginia office.

DUTIES

Responsibilities Include:

• Perform routine accounting activities
• Post data to computerized accounting system
• May classify and code routine transactions to appropriate accounts
• May prepare invoices and reconcile bank accounts
• Balance and reconcile date from various sources in accordance with predetermined standards
• File accounting information in previously classified accounting filing system
• Match remittance checks to invoices
• Type, add and calculate routine data
• May generate routine reports
• Identify discrepencies in accounting data and inform more senior staff
• Display excellent customer service skills
• Perform administrative duties such as answering the phone and filing
• May occaisonally support human resources related activities
• Requires general supervision and limited use of independent judgement

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• High School diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Two (2) years of clerical accounting experience
• Proficiency with adding machine and computerized accounting systems

Additional Requirements

• Must be comfortable communicating with the public
• Must be comfortable working with computers

The employee may occasionally be required to push, pull, lift, and/or carry office equipment and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds. Work may routinely require the employee to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl. Work is performed under all weather conditions, sometimes in the outdoors or on difficult terrain, and sometimes involves extensive standing and walking.
