Business Development Leader

Triad Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Business Development Leader for our Sterling, VA office.

This position will support the Washington Metro Region which includes the Sterling, VA office and the Winchester, VA office.

The Preferred Candidate:

• Has knowledge of A/E/C industry terminology and delivery methods and is familiar with notable trade organizations in the region
• Demonstrates strong organizational skills and can manage multiple tasks and assignments
• Is proactive and possesses strong interpersonal skills that enable her/him to establish strong business relationships
• Is persistent and demonstrates strong, consistent follow through
• Is capable of developing, maintaining and growing a strong business network

DUTIES

• Implement the business development strategy of the region to increase top line growth and profitability
• Research, identify and understand dynamics of markets for new business development opportunities
• Aggressively pursue and successfully obtain meetings with decision makers 
• Prospect / network for new clients and project leads 
• Understand client needs, understand and analyze the competition, and convey market intelligence to Marketing and Corporate leadership 
• Attend pre-bid and community / municipal meetings
• Track significant opportunities and proposals through contract award; perform win/loss analysis
• Follow up with new and existing clients on project performance and future project potential
• Assist Regional Manager in developing and executing BD strategy
• Effectively use and promote CRM system
• Participate in the preparation of proposals, presentations and other marketing submittals as requested
• Assist in training and coaching Operations Staff in Business Development skills
• Attend Trade Shows, Conferences and Society meetings
• Assist with Marketing functions

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or Science / Engineering related field. Suitable work experience may be substituted at Triad's discretion.

Experience

• 5 years of experience marketing / selling professional services

Additional Requirements

• Must possess a valid driver's license 
• Must possess advanced reading, writing and math skills
• Must be comfortable communicating with the public
• Must possess intermediate to advanced computer skills (MS Office required; graphics programs and CRM system preferred)
• Must be available to work in all types of indoor and outdoor environments

This position routinely operates in an office environment, using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and fax machines. The employee is regularly required to talk or hear and is frequently is required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. Vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must have the ability to frequently push, pull, lift and/or carry up to 10 pounds; occasionally up to 25 pounds. Work may routinely require the employee to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl. Work may occasionally be performed under varied weather conditions, sometimes on construction sites or in difficult terrain.
