Civil Engineer

Triad Engineering, Inc. has an immediate need for a Civil  Engineer in our Hagerstown, MD office.

DUTIES

• Take a project from concept to final completion with only occasional supervision
• Monitor project budget and schedule, and maintain client contact and relationships
• Understand basic financial terms and concepts of profit as they apply to projects
• Work closely with senior-level staff members to gain project management experience
• Plan, schedule, conduct, and/or coordinate detailed phases of assigned project work with clients, contractors, outside consultants and firm staff
• Supervise, schedule and check work of project team members
• Independently evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria on moderately complex projects
• Make design recommendations, adaptations and modifications
• Prepare reports and correspondence concerning assigned projects
• Coordinate final design and construction documents with clients
• Serve as a technical advisor to junior team members
• Participate in business development efforts
• Assist and advise the firm's field representative at the job site
• Prospect new clients and participate in collections
• Strive to make each project profitable

QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements include:

• BS in Civil Engineering or equivalent required
• Professional Engineering registration is preferred but not required.
• 4 years relevant, progressive experience
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Additional Requirements:

• Must possess a valid driver's license
• Must be available to work in all types of indoor and outdoor environments

The employee may occasionally be required to push, pull, lift, and/or carry field equipment weighing up to 60 pounds. Work may routinely require the employee to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl. Work is performed under all weather conditions, often on construction sites or in difficult terrain, and sometimes involves extensive standing and walking.
