Engineer I / Geologist I - Geotechnical

Triad Engineering, Inc. has an immediate need for a full-time, entry level Engineer or Geologist for the Geotechnical department in our Morgantown, WV office.

DUTIES

• The entry level Engineer or Geologist will perform assignments designed to develop professional knowledge and abilities, requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related engineering tasks.
• Under close and frequent supervision, and using prescribed methods, this position will perform specific, limited, and routine portions of a broader engineering project.
• Assignments are intended to provide an increasing familiarity with the programs, staff, and operating procedures of the company.
• Very infrequent and limited exercise of independent judgment is required or appropriate.
• Expected to strive to make each project profitable.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Engineering Technology or Geology

Experience

• No professional experience is required

Additional Requirements:

• Must possess a valid driver's license and have the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.
• Must possess advanced reading, writing and math skills.
• Must be comfortable communicating with the public.
• Must be available to work in all types of indoor and outdoor environments.

The employee may occasionally be required to push, pull, lift, and/or carry field equipment weighing up to 60 pounds. Work may routinely require the employee to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl. Work is performed under all weather conditions, often on construction sites or in difficult terrain, and sometimes involves extensive standing and walking.
