Geotechnical Engineer II

Triad Engineering, Inc. has an immediate need for a Geotechnical Engineer in our St. Albans, WV office.

The successful candidate will have some experience in engineering problem solving and design, and an understanding of the basics of project profitability and business development. 

• FE/EIT Required
• PE Preferred

Duties

• Assist more senior personnel by performing routine engineering calculations and design
• Provide sketches and/or detailed layout information to CADD staff for incorporation into drawings
• Prepare draft correspondence, technical specifications and reports for review by more senior staff
• Occasionally attend meetings with clients or government agencies
• Assist with proposal preparation 
• Assist with business development activities
• Prospect new clients 
• Participate in collections
• Strive to make each project profitable

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering

Certifications

• FE/EIT Required
• PE Preferred

Experience

• Two (2) Years Applicable Experience

Additional Requirements

• Must possess a valid driver's license and the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle
• Must possess advanced reading, writing and math skills
• Must be comfortable communicating with the public
• Must be available to work in all types of indoor and outdoor environments

The employee may occasionally be required to push, pull, lift, and/or carry field equipment weighing up to 60 pounds. Work may routinely require the employee to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl. Work is performed under all weather conditions, often on construction sites or in difficult terrain, and sometimes involves extensive standing and walking.
