Mechanic
Triad Engineering, Inc. has an immediate need for a Mechanic within the Drilling Department of our Scott Depot, WV office.

The preferred candidate:
- 5 years of experience as an equipment/vehicle mechanic
- Technical school training/certification
DUTIES
- Follow all corporate and job site safety procedures
- Perform maintenance and repairs on drill rigs, medium to heavy duty trucks, drill support vehicles, company fleet vehicles and other related drilling equipment
- Maintenance and repair may include, but is not limited to, that of hydraulics, clutches, differentials and transmission, brakes, front-end work, engine replacement
- Scheduled vehicle / equipment preventative maintenance may include, but is not limited to, that of radiators, oil, batteries, drive belts, steering boxes, filters, brakes, transmissions, rear ends, tires, lights and mirrors
- Occasionally perform routine repairs on passenger vehicles
- Report findings and recommendations to management for direction
- Maintain cleanliness of shop area
- Carry out errands as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
Experience
- 5 years of experience as equipment/vehicle mechanic
- Technical school training/certification is desirable
Additional Requirements
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- A CDL license is strongly encouraged
- Must be available to work in all types of indoor and outdoor environments
The employee regularly works in outside weather conditions, frequently works near moving mechanical parts, and is frequently exposed to wet or humid conditions and vibration. The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. Must have the ability to stand 90% of the time (often on uneven surfaces) and walk 20% of the time with frequent bending and stooping. The employee must frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds with assistance. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms; frequently required to stand, talk and hear; occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, kneel, crouch and crawl. Required vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
