Project CADD Technician

Triad Engineering Inc. has an immediate need for a Project CADD Technician in our Hagerstown, MD office.

This mid-level position will operate Computer Aided Design computer systems to prepare drawings according to established standards and procedures.

DUTIES

• Perform routine and non-routine assignments
• Work with professional staff to obtain project information, ensure drawings are accurate and complete, verify objectives, requirements and design approach
• May recommend minor design changes 
• May prepare cost and quantity estimates and/or design calculations
• Maintain well organized CADD files for all projects
• Work from drawings, sketches or scanned images, customer drawings, or government drawings / specifications
• Use the accepted drawing standards as guidelines
• Self-check own work for completeness, accuracy, meeting standards, fits and stack-ups
• Mentor junior CADD technicians 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Technical school courses in computer-aided drafting desirable

Experience

• 4 years of computer drafting experience

Additional Requirements

Must possess:

• A valid driver's license
• The ability to read, write and perform basic math
• Must possess basic computer skills (MS Office), including the ability to learn various types of company / client software
• Must be comfortable communicating with the public
• Availability to work in all types of indoor and outdoor environments

The employee may occasionally be required to push, pull, lift, and/or carry equipment weighing up to 60 pounds. Work may routinely require the employee to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl. Work is performed under all weather conditions, sometimes in the outdoors or on difficult terrain, and sometimes involves extensive standing and walking.
