Senior CADD Technician

Triad Engineering Inc. has an immediate need for Senior CADD Technician in our Morgantown, WV office.

This senior level position will define and implement CADD applications appropriate to specifications obtained from engineers and project managers.

DUTIES

  • Follow all corporate and job site safety procedures
  • Perform non-routine and complex assignments
  • Troubleshoots non-routine problems
  • Recommend design changes
  • Prepare cost and quantity estimates and/or design calculations
  • Assist Practice Leader in establishing and maintaining coordination between the CADD staff and the engineers and / or project managers
  • Assist Practice Leader in the supervision, training, and development of CADD personnel
  • Implement quality control and standard operating procedures established by the Practice Leader
  • Improve and expand knowledge of relevant software, hardware, and current CADD techniques and standards
  • Mentor junior CADD technicians
  • Strive to make each project profitable

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • Equivalent of a Bachelor's degree in engineering, design, or computer science
  • Training and experience may be substituted in lieu of education

Experience 

  • 8 years of progressive drafting and design experience, including at least 3 years of experience at a senior level

Additional Requirements

  • A valid driver's license and have the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle, or have reliable transportation to and from the workplace
  • The ability to read, write, and perform basic math
  • The ability to comfortably communicate with the public
  • Basic computer skills (MS Office), including the ability to learn various types of company / client software

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for extended periods; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and to climb, balance, crouch, stoop, crawl and kneel.
