Senior Geotechnical Engineer/Environmental Sceientist

Triad Engineering, Inc. has an immediate need for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer/Environmental Scientist in our Mechanicsburg, PA office.

The successful candidate is one who has gained sufficient knowledge, experience, and judgment to independently complete Environmental and Geotechnical task and implement multiple non-routine and complex projects.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering Required
  • Professional Geologist's Licenses Preferred
  • Professional Engineer's License Preferred

Duties

  • Lead and direct projects with overall responsibility for technical accuracy and appropriateness
  • Plan, coordinate and direct larger, more significant and/or complex engineering projects
  • Manage/solve technically complex problems
  • Implement advanced techniques, theory, precepts and practices
  • Serve as technical specialist and staff advisor
  • Work closely with other disciplines on multi discipline projects
  • Ensure consistent, professionally written communication with clients and other outside contacts
  • Direct proposal preparation and administer contracts
  • Schedule and budget projects, striving to make each project profitable
  • Supervision of engineering and support personnel
  • Develop staff and project engineers
  • Initiate and advance business development opportunities
  • Client development and retention
  • Participate in collections

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering Required
  • Master's Degree Preferred

Experience

  • Six (6) years of relevant, progressive experience

 

Certifications

  • Professional Engineer's License Preferred
  • Professional Geologist's License Preferred

 

Additional Requirements

  • Must possess a valid driver's license and the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle
  • Must possess advanced reading, writing and math skills
  • Must be comfortable communicating with the public
  • Must be available to work in all types of indoor and outdoor environments

The employee may occasionally be required to push, pull, lift, and/or carry field equipment weighing up to 60 pounds. Work may routinely require the employee to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl. Work is performed under all weather conditions, often on construction sites or in difficult terrain, and sometimes involves extensive standing and walking.
