Senior Geotechnical Engineering Manager
Triad Engineering, Inc. has an immediate need for a Senior Geotechnical Engineering Manager to successfully oversee the Geotechnical Engineering group in our Scott Depot, WV office.

Required:
- West Virginia PE (multi-state a plus)
- 5+ years of relevant experience in Geotechnical Engineering

Duties:
- Manage the practice to achieve maximum profitability and growth
- Prioritize and schedule workload to ensure high quality deliverables in a timely and efficient manner
- Effectively manage client base and client satisfaction
- Prepare proposals and technical reports
- Serve as a technical leader, providing critical/expert technical advice as necessary
- Maintain technical proficiency of the practice by monitoring the skills of the staff; developing and advancing their knowledge and capabilities
- Implement contracting/subcontracting procedures that minimize company liability, and ensures fair and equitable fee arrangements
- Train and mentor staff, effectively utilizing individual talents, skills, and abilities
- Participate as an active member of a project team when required
- Prepare, review and update budgets, billing projections, business development goals, and other corporate budgeting efforts
- Monitor staffing requirements and act accordingly
- Recognize, initiate, and advance business development opportunities
- Prospect, develop and maintain client relationships
- Strive to make each project profitable
Qualifications:
Education and Licensure
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- PE required
Experience
- 5+ years of relevant, progressive experience in geotechnical engineering
Additional Requirements
- Must possess a valid driver's license and have the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle
- Must possess advanced reading, writing and math skills
- Must be comfortable communicating with the public
- Must possess intermediate to advanced computer skills (MS Office and relevant technical software required), including the ability to learn various types of company / client software
- Must be available to work in all types of indoor and outdoor environments
The employee may occasionally be required to push, pull, lift, and/or carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. Work may routinely require the employee to sit, stand, walk, climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl. The employee is regularly required to talk and hear and frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Work is most often performed in an office setting, but occasionally performed under varied weather conditions, sometimes on construction sites or in difficult terrain, and sometimes involves extensive standing and walking.
